“ A carnivores dream!! This was our first visit as recommended by an Ontario travel group on fb... from outside turned us into nearly floating cartoon characters following the smell... the fun signs inside on the walls were great and kept us entertained while waiting for our food. Our server was so friendly and attentive, the food was just amazing... the outside of the chicken was crispy and the inside was so tender and juicy! The combination of spices were very clearly an in house recipe and I've never had such a great combination of spices on chicken!! We will for sure be back again some day as we come from out of town. I would recommend this gem of a smokehouse to anyone!! ”

Most of the meals are slightly too big for one person. The 2 meat platter could feed two people (I got a to-go container and had lunch the next day). Definitely recommend you check this out. ”
“ What an amazing experience each visit has been. The food is perfect, classic down south BBQ. The meats perfectly smoked, not too strong, just right. Tender, juicy, full of flavour, and the sauces are absolute home runs. The sides are so 'comfort food', you could eat just those alone and be very satisfied. The service is very good, very pleasant, and inviting. The atmosphere is what you would expect from a BBQ restaurant, a nice rustic charm, that blends in perfectly to the menu items. The wife and I love getting the Platters, as we get a little of what we both like, and sometimes end up taking some home, as the portions are quite generous. If you like authentic southern BBQ, this is certainly a place you need to try. Highly recomend the Lancaster Smokehouse as an Ontario Gem. ”
“ It's worth the long and easy drive to Kitchener/Waterloo. We were a group of 8 people.To get the best value for your buck, please order the large grilled platter, which costs 151 (Nov 2024). They say it serves between 4-6 persons, and I think it serves at least 6 persons. Service is quick, so order your starters only after your platter arrives on the table and then decide if you need more. You'll be hard pressed to find better brisket and chicken legs anywhere else. Beer is also available by the pitcher, and the parking is free and easy. Please book a table well in advance if you are planning to go on the weekend. ”
“ I came here on multiple occasions. I think the food is overall delicious and the service is great most of the time. When I came here I got the 4 meat platter as shown in the photo, it was good portion size and overall great tasting. The service is normally pretty good and fast as well. The place is really busy at times, so if you do visit make a reservation online just in case. Also get the beef brisket, as long as it’s not dry it’s amazing. Lastly some things I’ve experience here, the service is typically really good 80% of the time. But I do realize when I go with my friends since we’re students, less attention is placed at our table and they don’t check up on us as much, when compared with me going with my parents. Additionally, the meats (pulled pork and beef brisket) is sometimes dry depending when you go. ”
“ We got the 3 meat platter 2 large sides (upgraded) 1 corn bread. Everything was good but brisket definitely stands out. Price is reasonable, staffs were kind and seats/table were comfortable. Would likely get the brisket burger next time, looked amazing when the next table ordered it. ”
“ Our club volleyball came here for a team lunch before provincials and wow!! Everything was so good and the portions are huge! The deep fried brussels sprouts are to die for! Exceptional value for the amount of food you get. Our waiter was awesome handling our group of 30. ”
“ Many people have recommended this restaurant to us, so we really wanted to try it out while in the area. Unfortunately we had other plans and were only able to order take-out instead of dine-in before closing. We ordered the Nashville 1/2 chicken meal with the beans and rice and sweet potato fries. We also ordered the 3 meat platter with brisket, ribs, and sausage. Sides of creamed corn and corn bread. We ordered medium spice for the chicken, but it wasn't very spicy, if you like spice I would recommend ordering the hot option. The flavour was amazing though, it had a sweetness that we enjoyed. It came with two slices of brioche bread and some pickle slices. The brisket was super soft and tender, the ribs still had a good little bite, sausage was good too. Only regret was not ordering extra sides of BBQ sauce because it was so good. Sides were all very good. Total bill was around 80 dollars but we had enough food for 4-5 people. Totally worth it. ”
